Blog-Power Adds Couch-Power As Jinx-Buster
Yeah, there’s a headline for you.
After Game 1 & 2 dominance by the Red Wings in the Stanley Cup Final, and the pundits of the world predicting the doom and gloom of a 4-game sweep, the Penguins returned home tonight and showed that there is really no panic in the Cup Final until you lose a home game. A gutsy performance from the entire team, including an inspired game from a certain boy named Sidney, propelled the Penguins to a 3-2 victory to take their first game of the series.
After successful jinxing by Enabler and Daisy during the road games, A’Hottie decided to take advantage of the fact that Game 3 was on NBC by watching it from the comfort of her couch, an act that was replicated across the country. And as much as Murphy was psychologically damaged by the screams of AH throughout the game, even he was a happy puppy as the Penguins showed grit and determination, and the refs showed their usual ineptitiude, all of which I am sure will continue into game 4 on Saturday night.
Congrats Pens, Congrats Blog-Power, and Congrats Couch-Power. Now let’s have the same for Game 4, and head back to Motor City at 2-2.
